Defense of the Two Holy Mosques and the Leadership of Ahl-e-Hadith
In a country like Pakistan, which is deeply ideological, certain issues are not limited merely to news coverage—they are intrinsically linked to the faith, awareness, and collective responsibility of the Muslim Ummah. In recent broadcasts by “Bakhabar Pakistan”, the region mentioned is not just a country on the map, but the heartbeat of the Muslim Ummah. It is the sacred land where the Two Holy Mosques are located, towards which Muslims around the world turn five times a day in prayer.
The relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is not merely diplomatic or political; it is rooted in devotion, faith, and strong ideological affiliation. Islam’s sun rose from this land, the light of faith spread across the world from here, and Makkah and Madinah have provided the Ummah with a spiritual center that will endure until the Day of Judgment. History of Islam bears witness that whenever the Two Holy Mosques faced any threat, the issue extended far beyond borders or political interests, becoming a direct question of safeguarding the belief in Tawheed (Oneness of God) and faith itself. During such critical times, leadership is determined not by positions or power, but by courage in expression, intellectual insight, and public trust.
It is also a historical fact that throughout every era of defending the Two Holy Mosques, the Ahl-e-Hadith school of thought has played a resolute, fearless, and clear role. In the contemporary period, if the most effective, far-reaching, and popular voice of the Ahl-e-Hadith movement manifests in a single figure, it is Dr. Allama Hisham Elahi Zaheer.
Dr. Allama Hisham Elahi Zaheer is a respected and influential figure of the Ahl-e-Hadith school, not only in Pakistan but across the Muslim world. He serves as the President of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan and consistently stands at the forefront in defending Islam, safeguarding the finality of Prophethood (ﷺ), protecting the Companions (رضی اللہ عنہم), defending madrasas and mosques, and confronting ideological challenges such as atheism and denial of Hadith. In all these matters, his voice is not mere protest—it represents reason, awareness, and spiritual insight.
In Pakistan’s history, whenever a government or policy attempted to move against Islamic teachings, Shariah, or the belief in the Finality of Prophethood (ﷺ)—whether facilitating Qadianism or implementing other un-Islamic laws—Dr. Allama Hisham Elahi Zaheer emerged as the strongest, clearest, and most decisive obstacle. His style of oratory is passionate, yet firmly grounded in arguments from the Quran and Sunnah. He does not merely reject falsehood; he exposes it with evidence, courage, and clarity.
Dr. Allama Hisham Elahi Zaheer is the intellectual heir of a great scholarly and missionary legacy. His respected father, the renowned Islamic scholar, crusader for the Finality of Prophethood, and unparalleled preacher, Allama Ehsan Elahi Zaheer (رحمہ اللہ علیہ), dedicated his entire life to defending the Quran and Sunnah and confronting falsehood. Fluent in multiple languages, delivering fearless international lectures, and steadfast in his mission, he was tragically martyred in Saudi Arabia and laid to rest in Jannat al-Baqi near the grave of Hazrat Usman ibn Affan (رضی اللہ عنہ)—a tremendous honor.
Dr. Hisham Elahi Zaheer continues this grand mission with intellectual fidelity. Like his father, he is an alumnus of the University of Madinah and embodies the same dedication, perseverance, and courage in defending the Two Holy Mosques. Whether addressing governmental policies or state positions, he speaks with reason and wisdom; but when it comes to defending the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques and Saudi Arabia, his leadership, courage, and depth of thought remain unmatched. His defense is so reasoned and impactful that even internal critics and global powers struggle to respond.
In the near future, “Bakhabar Pakistan” will present a comprehensive documentary highlighting the instances, fronts, and strategies through which Dr. Allama Hisham Elahi Zaheer has raised his voice in defense of the Two Holy Mosques, ensuring that history testifies to the presence of steadfast leadership standing for truth in every era.
